When Do I Need To Replace The Resin Of The SPOTBYE Water System?

For optimal performance, we advise changing the filters as soon as the TDS meter detects any measurable dissolved solids (above 0 ppm).

Our deionized water systems deliver pure 0 ppm water that is scientifically incapable of leaving any residue that could cause spotting. Filter lifespan is mainly determined by your local water conditions (though flow rate and resin degradation also play a role), and operating above 0 ppm may potentially cause surface marks. In practice, most customers report no spotting issues even at 1-10 ppm, and the overwhelming majority encounter no problems even in the 10-20 ppm range.

Operating the system at readings above 0 ppm could potentially harm your work surface. To establish your system's effective lifespan, conduct tests using your local water supply on a sample surface at levels exceeding 0 ppm - this will help identify when spotting occurs (requiring polishing for removal).
