The filter is designed to have low leakage, ensuring that the purified water is safe for consumption. The best part is that it eliminates the risk of nitrate dumping when the filter reaches its limit.
Nitrates are compounds that occur naturally in nature as a result of the decomposition of organic matter. These compounds are typically colorless, odorless, and tasteless, making them difficult to detect without laboratory testing of water samples.

Components of Nitrate Filtration
Post-filter
A post-filter May be included at the outlet to further polish the water, removing any very fine particles that May have escaped the pre-filter or are shed from the resin.
Cartridge housing
This is the outer casing that contains all the internal components. It is typically made from food-grade or fda-approved materials like polypropylene, ensuring that no harmful substances are introduced into the treated water.
Anion exchange resin
This is the most critical component. It's a specialized resin with functional groups (like triethylamine) that have a strong affinity for the negatively charged nitrate ions (no₃⁻) in water. As water flows through the resin, the nitrate ions are exchanged for other ions, such as chloride ions, effectively removing them from the water.
Pre-filter
Located at the inlet of the cartridge, a pre-filter is a mesh or spun-bonded polypropylene material that traps larger particles like sediment, sand, and dirt, protecting the delicate anion resin from clogging.
