HOW TO INSTALL A WHOLE HOUSE WATER FILTER HOUSING

Application for this install are Point of Entry (POE) a place AFTER the water meter (municipal water) or the pressure tank (private water / water well) and Point of Use (POU) a place BEFORE the faucet or appliance.

.To safely perform maintenance, first shut off the main water valve, then depressurize the system by keeping the closest faucet open during the procedure.

.To replace the housing, first detach all plumbing connections from the filter head's inlet and outlet ports.

.Fully evacuate any residual water from the plumbing lines, then carefully deburr and smooth all cut pipe terminals to eliminate potential hazards.

.Apply thread sealant to the pipe fittings before manually screwing them onto the filter head ports-ensure proper alignment to prevent cross-threading. After hand-tightening, use a wrench to secure the connection with just a half-turn for optimal tightness. Caution: Excessive force may induce stress fractures in tapered pipe threads, potentially compromising the system's integrity.

.Bracket Installation: Orient the bracket with the "IN" indicator aligned to the water supply line direction. Secure it to the filter head using the included mounting hardware. Prior to final installation, verify the wall mounting position is perfectly level, structurally supported, and centrally located-then permanently affix the bracket.

.For optional valve installation, securely attach to the water supply line using appropriate fittings and specialized installation tools as specified.

.Using the appropriate tools specified for your particular piping system, securely connect the valves or supply lines to the filter head's integrated fittings.

.Position the filter cartridge into the housing, then align and secure the filter bowl onto the filter head assembly. Rotate the bowl clockwise until snug by hand-avoid excessive torque which may compromise the sealing integrity.

.Shut all valves except the closest faucet, then activate the main water supply. While maintaining constant pressure on the red relief button, gradually open the INLET valve to allow water to fill the housing-continue holding until water discharges from the relief port. Subsequently, slowly open the OUTLET valve to systematically evacuate air from the system.

.Maintain the faucet in an open position to thoroughly flush the system for a minimum of 3-5 minutes prior to initial operation, while conducting a comprehensive leak inspection at all connection points.
